1. Service description

RatRace is a multiplayer financial-literacy game inspired by Cashflow. It is a free, educational, multiplayer platform that lets players take a profession, manage a personal-finance statement, and try to escape the Rat Race by building passive income that exceeds expenses.

3. Account

Using the service requires creating an account via Google Sign-In. You must be at least 13 years old to register, in line with Google’s terms of service. For minors under 15 in France, the agreement of a parent or legal guardian is required.

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your Google account. In case of unauthorised use, contact us immediately.

4. Acceptable use

By using RatRace, you agree to:

• Use the platform for personal, educational, non-commercial purposes only.
• Not attempt to circumvent security measures or technical limitations.
• Not extract, copy or redistribute game content without permission.
• Not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person.
• Not disrupt the service (attacks, scraping, automation, etc.).
• Play fair: do not exploit bugs, share lobbies with bot accounts, or grief other players.

Failure to follow these rules may result in suspension or deletion of your account without notice.

5. Intellectual property

All RatRace content (game logic, illustrations, logo, code, brand) is protected by copyright and remains the property of the publisher. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the platform for your private educational use.

RatRace is inspired by financial-education concepts popularised by Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad; it is an independent work and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Robert Kiyosaki, the Rich Dad Company, or any related entity.

6. Personal data

Processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

7. Availability and warranties

RatRace is provided “as is”, without any warranty of continuous availability. We do our best to ensure reliability but cannot guarantee the absence of interruptions, errors, or bugs. The educational content is written carefully but does not constitute financial advice and is not a substitute for professional guidance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect, intangible, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the service. This limitation does not apply in cases of gross or wilful misconduct.

9. Changes to the service or terms

We reserve the right to evolve the platform, its features, and these terms. Any substantial change will be announced on the platform. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the My profile page. Deletion permanently erases your profile and all your gameplay history (see Privacy Policy, sections 5 and 7).

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the French courts, subject to public-order rules protecting consumers.
